Protecting Our Built Heritage

Last updated: 17 June 2010

To ensure the Built Heritage of Northern Ireland has the best possible protection and care we work closely with local councils, community and heritage groups, developers and owners. We also develop legislation and policies to protect our historic monuments and buildings and work with other government departments to make sure these are applied and enforced.
